GU recommends installing pipe stubs at all pipeline connections regardless of pipe type. When used in
conjunction with the GU bell and gasket, pipe stubs assure an additional tension-free, flexible
connection lessening various settlement phenomena.

After installation of the manhole base section

Visually inspect to ensure that the gasket has not been dislodged. Check flow through the channel.
Test manhole structure as specified.
